CJ was on such fine form today.

In fact it was a big day… he sucessfully used his potty for the first time. I suspect it was more just a fluke than anything. Time will tell.

It was a rough day. We looked into options for Pixel and realised we can’t take her home. She needs a rabbies shot (which would come with a 6 month waiting period) before NZ would let her in.

I think S1 almost cried when she found out, I know I did. So it looks like we may be leaving one member of the family befind… it makes this position feel more like a failure all over again (even though I know it isn’t).

I also had to tell my oldest brother tonight the news… finding out in one night that Blipfoto is shutting down and also that your brother may be leaving the country – well let’s just say I think that’s one of the worst calls I’ve had to make in a while.

LJ’s crawling is progressing… backwards.

CJ wanted a piggyback but other than lots of giggling the two of them didn’t get far!

CJ has taken to lying beside LJ on the floor. I’m not sure he really understands why LJ isn’t moving yet, but in saying that I really wouldn’t be surprised if he understands more than we give him credit.

He’s incredibly supportive of his little brother, encouraging him on and always giving him toys to share or getting him things that are out of reach.

Whenever LJ starts crying, you see CJ’s ears pick up. There’s something incredibly cute about him running off into another room where LJ is crying and hearing him go “SHHHHHHH, Shhhhhhh”.

LJ seems just as taken with his big brother. Smiles, giggles and watching ever move. I think these two will be trouble!
