We spent time exploring Copenhagen many years ago so decided an easy day would be good. We took a short cruise around the canals, then a wander along the port area to see the little mermaid, who hasn’t grown any since we last saw her! A day of walking and no buses was just what we needed.
This is my favourite photo of the day – negotiating the narrowest bridge in the canal. All the passenger boats have to be built to fit through this gap, but they also have to be able to manoeuvre around a sharp bend in the river as we exit the bridge. Quite a skill for the boatmen – although the little boat travelling behind us shouldn’t have too much trouble 🙂
