Today is of course friday, so what better way to head into the weekend than an update…

Today I would like to draw your attention to those less fortinuate than ourselves – in particular, Adam, Mayo and Sarah.

In the humble words of the medical illness TV campaign – Dont judge them until you know them. So, on behalf of tose who know them I think its about time we had a good old fashined “judging”.

Lets start with Adam “routine” Richards. In fact, lets start with a quote from his Thursday update:
Those of you who are masters in the arcane field of Adam Routine.

Now those of you who do know Adams routine, probably know Adam well enough to get involved in his “Judging”, so lets begin… Adam has what is know as Obsessive Compulsive Dissorder.

What is obsessive compulsive dissorder (ocd)?
OCD is a neurological disorder defined by recurrent, unwelcome thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors (compulsions) that OCD sufferers feel driven to perform. People with OCD know their obsessions and compulsions are irrational or excessive, yet they have little or no control over them.

Adam takes his routine to the extreme. It includes not only regular sports, but a variety of other obsessive items including what shirt and tie he wears, which socks, what he eats, and when he eats.

OCD is considered just one of Adams lovable traits…

And then we have Mayo, I tend to believe Mayo may also suffer from OCD. Mayo has a immediate and violent reaction against anyone who calls him “Mayo”. In reality, we all know hes not actually insulted by it, but he has little or no control over his reaction to the name – sounds like OCD.

In support of this, he often feels compelled to go to castle rock late at night – clearly OCD (or he has a girl over that way we doon’t know about).

We know many other OCD suffers including:

  • “not Australian, and boy i need a beer” Maxwell
  • Shane “I wonder how it works” Heenan
  • “Project plan” Pop
  • So now we get to the point of this post…

I would like to intorduce you to the latest member of the OCD family. Sarah “i need a plan” Bullion.

Sarah’s wedding planning has caused further degeneration in her OCD condition:

  • Sarah has lists for everything
  • And some lists has sub lists
  • She has timtables that stretch up to two weeks before and after the actual wedding day
  • She checks who has RSVP’d on a daily basis (if not more)
  • I would like you all to welcome Sarah into the broader Mental Illness family. If you have any tips on other fun OCD inflictions to have then I ask you please add them below to assist in Sarah developing to her full OCD potential.
