Day 12 – positive experience:

Out of the blue, a parcel arrived for S1 tonight.

It wasn’t one we were expecting. We had nothing on order and weren’t expecting anything.

But when we opened the box, there was a card inside…

I won’t forget the smile on S1’s face. Not the smile of something new, but more the smile of knowing that someone cares that much to send us something special.

M, if you read this… you are simply amazing!!!

Today I’m grateful for:

– I came home tonight to find S1 had pie in the oven.

I love how sometimes she just knows what I want.

– Coffee. Such a simple thing that gives me so much joy.

– High speed internet. Being a geek with a number of private web servers running from home, it’s so nice to be able to dial in and pick up files I need remotely.
